Our Headmaster
Mr. Andy Follaco
Mr. Follaco has 15 years of teaching experience, most recently in the Brockport Central School District where he taught middle school and high school mathematics. He especially enjoyed working with alternative-setting students in a course designed to equip students with the math skills necessary for career success in the trades. Mr. Follaco also coached football, indoor track, and outdoor track at Brockport and at West Irondequoit Central School District, and serves as a volunteer faith formation coordinator at the St. Kateri Latin Mass Community at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Irondequoit. Mr. Follaco lives in Irondequoit with his wife and four children. He holds a Master’s of Education from Nova Southeastern University in curriculum and instruction and has taken courses in Advanced Study in Education Administration at the College at Brockport.

Miss Territo has earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Roberts Wesleyan University and has loved her time working with children in the past. She converted to the Church in 2021 and attends Mass at St. Thomas the Apostle in Irondequoit.

Mrs. Susan Mattina
First Grade
Mrs. Mattina earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from the State University College at Buffalo, and she has New York State Teacher Certification. She has earned tenure in two public school districts and has Special Education experience as well.

Miss Anne Donohue
Second Grade
Miss Donohue earned her Bachelor's degree in Literature from Yale and a Master's in Theology from Holy Apostles. She has completed training in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and the Ward Method of music instruction.

Third Grade
Mr. Pokalsky earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Franciscan University of Steubenville and a Master’s Degree from Excelsior College with New York Teacher Certification. He has been teaching for 25 years.

Mrs. Michele Harris
Fourth Grade
Michele Harris holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music from Indiana University and a Master's in Music from Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. She is currently working towards a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. Mrs. Harris is a retired US Air Force military musician.

Mrs. Renee Mills
Fifth Grade
Mrs. Mills earned her Bachelor's Degree from Buffalo State College. She home schooled her oldest son, through high school, using Seton curriculum. She fell in love with classic literature. She has taught religious education at several grade levels. She has a deep passion for her Catholic Faith.

Ms. Edith Yam
Lower School Music
Australian-born Edith Yam is finishing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY where she studies with Prof. David Higgs. She also serves as his teaching assistant, and has taught secondary organ at all levels. Edith holds a Bachelor of Music degree (with First Class Honours) from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and a Master’s degree from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

Mrs. Laurie Collins
Middle School Dean
Mrs. Collins earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Rochester and her Master's degree in Education from Nazareth College. She has NYS certification in elementary education, special education, and literacy. She has taught in public schools, Catholic schools, and home schooled her daughters. She taught fourth grade at St. John Bosco Schools for six years prior and served as headmaster.

Miss Harvey is an alumna of Chesterton Academy of Rochester, and graduated from Ave Maria University with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics in the Spring of 2023. She has been trained as a Level One Catechist in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.

Mr. John Maurer
Middle School Science
Mr. Maurer earned his B.S. degree in general science from Villanova University. After graduate studies in photographic science at Rochester Institute of Technology, he embarked on a 42 year career at Eastman Kodak Company as a product development engineer in their Graphics Imaging Systems Division where he holds six patents. John and his wife Mary Jo are active members of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Latin Mass Community at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Irondequoit.

Mr. Sean Jefferson
Middle School Music
Sean Jefferson is a professional drummer, composer, and educator with 21 years of experience performing, touring, recording, and teaching. As an educator, Sean is an adjunct professor of music at Roberts Wesleyan University, where he lectures in subjects related to: 20th & 21st Century Popular Music; History of American Popular Music idioms as an art form and cultural phenomenon; and critical listening and critical analysis of popular music idioms as an art form.

Mrs. Lester has a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology. She has experience teaching art in Catholic schools and is the co-creator and owner of an online art business. She is the mom of five SJBS students.

Mr. John Magee
Middle School & Lower School Latin
Mr. Magee holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from SUNY Geneseo and a master’s degree in Public Relations from Syracuse University. He joined St. John Bosco Schools in 2022 after a career in communications, marketing, and advertising where he worked on creative teams for organizations and educational institutions. He lives in Rochester with his wife, three children, and their golden retriever.

Mrs. Brooke Coyne
Speech Pathologist
Brooke Evans Coyne is a NYS licensed and certified speech language pathologist. She is accredited with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and holds a Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH) certificate. Brooke is a mother of three children. She and her family attend Our Lady of Lourdes church in Brighton, where they are all very active within their church and school communities.
